Identifying Solution to Facilitate the Use of Information Technology in Ghalib University-Herat

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify strategies to facilitate the use of information technology in Ghalib university of Herat. In terms of purpose, the present study is from the category of applied-basic research, from the type of survey research, mixed data (qualitative-quantitative). The statistical population of the research in the quantitative part includes the staff of the university whose number is 210 people, from whom 136 were selected as a sample. In the qualitative dimension, components were identified through a review of theoretical foundations and research background and semi-structured interviews with IT experts. In a quantitative dimension, to evaluate the validity and reliability (standardization), 50 experts agreed with the identified components in the form of a structured questionnaire, and the analysis and evaluation of the components was analyzed by 16 experts using Delphi technique and Friedman ranking. To analyze the research, descriptive statistics were included in two sections, which included the demographic characteristics of the research. The results of the frequency distribution of the subjects' gender showed that 89% of the subjects were male and 11% were female. The results of the frequency distribution of the subjects 'age showed that 63% were 31 to 40 years old, and also the results of the frequency distribution of the subjects' education showed that 43% of the subjects had a bachelor's degree. The obtained results show that solutions such as the quality of information technology, the quality of information, the use of information technology, the reduction of operational costs and the infrastructure of information technology can facilitate the use of information technology in Ghalib University of Herat.
